OTUS Side B ranked first in category 26 (Blanche, Witbier) at Beer of the Year 2025.
On Sunday the 16th, during the opening day of “Beer&Food Attraction” in Rimini, the award ceremony for Beer of the Year 2025 took place. Now in its 20th edition, the contest, organised by Unionbirrari, awards the best Italian craft beers aiming at promoting and valuing them and it is now considered the longest-lasting and most awaited contest in Italy dedicated to the craft beer world.
This year, 2092 beers were registered and 257 breweries took part in the competition. A jury of 82 expert tasters coming from Italy and from all over the world have blind-tasted the beers, as every year.
The jury awarded a gold medal to Side B in category 26 (Blanche, Witbier).
OTUS Blache stands out for fruity aromas, notes of citrus and spices with a hint of vanilla and a taste of cereal, honey, fruit and spices.
This is the 4th award obtained by Side B, to be added to other medals conquered during the same competition and other international contests:
- Bronze medal at Beer of the Year 2023 in category 26 (Blanche, Witbier)
- Silver medal at Barcelona Beer Challenge 2022 in category 24A Witbier (Belgian Ale)
- Silver medal at European Beer Star 2018 in category 29
